job intake Job Title: Head of Shared Service Center

  • Seniority Level: Senior / Leadership role
  • Context: Creation and structuring of a Shared Service Center model (not fully implemented yet)
  • Hiring Context: External hire to start, with potential internalization in the future


2. Role Objective

Lead the setup, transformation, and management of an international Shared Service Center, overseeing accounting, tax, and financial operations across multiple countries and entities.


3. Key Responsibilities

Operations & Leadership

  • Oversee accounting and financial activities across multiple countries
  • Coordinate a network of third-party providers in each country
  • Manage relationships with internal clients (affiliates)
  • Work closely with regional CFOs (UK & Asia)

 International Scope

  • Manage multi-country financial operations
  • Handle tax and intercompany topics
  • Operate in a highly international environment

 Transformation & Project (Critical)

  • Lead the implementation of the Target Operating Model (TOM)
  • Drive organizational transformation
  • Support SAP migration to SAP Public Cloud
  • Ensure successful go-live (target: January 2025)


4. Required Skills & Experience

 Hard Skills (Must-have)

  • Strong experience in finance & accounting
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Experience with Shared Service Center (SSC) models
  • Solid understanding of international accounting and tax topics
  • Experience with SAP (ideally cloud migration)
  • Experience managing third-party providers

 International Experience

  • Mandatory international exposure
  • Ideally experience in Middle East & Asia
  • Ability to manage cross-border stakeholders

  • Experience in target regions (Middle East / Asia)
  • Comfortable interacting with C-level stakeholders

 Key differentiator: Transformation + international scope + cross-functional leadership


7. Languages

  • Fluent English is mandatory
