Senior Functional Analyst – Digital Government Platform (Hybrid | Belgium)

We are looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to support the evolution of a large-scale digital services platform used by citizens and businesses.

This platform is at the heart of a major digital transformation, aiming to deliver personalized, data-driven, and user-centric public services.

Your Role

As a Senior Functional Analyst, you will act as the bridge between business, users, and IT teams, contributing to the evolution of a modern digital services platform.

You will:

• Analyze and understand business and user needs
• Model business processes and data flows (BPMN, UML)
• Translate requirements into functional analyses and user stories
• Contribute to the design of integrated and scalable solutions
• Support development and testing teams to ensure alignment with requirements
• Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple entities

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements from business stakeholders and end-users
• Structure and model processes, data, and business rules
• Define functional specifications and support technical integration
• Ensure solutions fit within a broader IT architecture
• Contribute to service orchestration and data exchange initiatives
• Support delivery, testing, and deployment phases

Required Skills

• Strong experience as a Functional Analyst (Senior level)
• Solid knowledge of:
• Agile methodologies
• BPMN & UML
• User story writing
• Experience with complex systems, integrations, or data-driven platforms
• Ability to work in multi-stakeholder environments

Nice to Have

• Experience in public sector or large enterprise environments
• Knowledge of SOA / APIs / service orchestration
• Exposure to cloud environments (e.g. AWS)
