Title: SAS Data Analyst

About the Role

For a key transformation project within the insurance sector, we are looking for an experienced SAS Data Analyst to support a mainframe phase-out and data restructuring initiative.

The organization is preparing for the gradual shutdown of part of its mainframe environment, including the processing of SAS data. A clear inventory and analysis of existing SAS datasets is required to support the future setup of a Life ODS environment with Power BI reporting.

The goal is to create full transparency on existing SAS data, understand embedded business logic, and determine future data needs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large volumes of SAS data
• SAS data is created on the mainframe
• Further processing occurs in SAS Enterprise Guide
• Perform re-engineering activities
• Identify and review existing data lists
• Assess usage and relevance of datasets
• Support migration from SAS to Power BI
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Business, IT, and Finance
• Ensure data quality, transparency, and compliance

Requirements

• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Strong proven experience working with large datasets
• Strong hands-on experience with SAS
• Ability to translate complex topics into understandable insights
• Team-oriented mindset

Nice to Have

• Good command of French
• Experience with Power BI
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Experience within the insurance sector
